Hockey for women, by women.

About Us

We are Nashville Women’s Hockey! A 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to growing adult women’s ice hockey in the Nashville area by expanding equitable access and creating opportunities to play, develop, and build lifelong community on and off the ice.

Whether you’ve never set foot on the ice before or grew up playing hockey, you’re welcome here. From beginners learning the basics to experienced players looking for competitive, yet supportive play — NWHL is built for you.

There are currently two women’s leagues in the Nashville area:

  • Ford Ice Center — through the Nashville Predators organization: A place where players can participate in league play at one of the region’s premier hockey facilities, supported by the Predators’ commitment to growing the sport.

  • Centennial Sportsplex Women’s League: A community favorite that brings together women from across Middle Tennessee for regular games, skill development, and team camaraderie.

Our mission is simple: to foster an inclusive, encouraging environment where women can stay active, build confidence, grow their skills, and build lasting friendships through ice hockey. We’re about teamwork, fun, fitness, and community — not just the score.

Why join Nashville Women’s Hockey?

  • Learn to skate or sharpen your skills in a supportive setting

  • Play regular league games at great ice rinks in Nashville

  • Connect with other women who love hockey

  • Be part of a positive, empowering community both on and off the ice

At NWHL, hockey isn’t just a game — it’s a community. Lace up your skates, grab your gear, and join us for one of our women’s leagues. We’d love to have you be part of the team!
